Subtotal items can be used to place a subtotal line either part
way through the list of items on an invoice or at the very end of
the items on an invoice.
In conjunction with discounts, subtotals can be used to group
invoice items and apply discounts to the entire invoice or to
subgroups of items on an invoice.
