When a new customer is added to SliQ, SliQ automatically assigns
a new account number to the customer.
Note: You can edit the
Customer Account number as you wish, i.e. although SliQ assigns a
new account number automatically when you create a new customer,
you can manually edit the account number to the value you want.
However,SliQ will check that the number you enter is unique and
will reassign a unique number if it isn't.
Via the Options dialog, you can configure SliQ to begin
assigning new account numbers from a specific value.
To change the next automatic number SliQ uses when a new
customer is created:
In the toolbar, press the Options button.
SliQ will then display the
Change the Next Customer Account Number field to be the account
number value you would like SliQ to use for the next new customer
After you create a new customer, SliQ will automatically
incremet the Next Customer Account Number value ready for the
subsequent customer you create.
Note: SliQ will always
try and ensure that customer account numbers are unique. So if you
set the Next Customer Account Number to a value that is already
used, when you next create a customer, SliQ will use a different
unique value for the customer account number.
